Our students, with their unique set of skills and intimate understanding of their home communities, will be well positioned to assist in the promotion and development of a diverse range of programs.   Some of these will be to work with local courts on restorative justice programs, working with schools and local government on esteem building and teamwork programs, environmental programs, working with healthcare providers on developing therapeutic recreation programs. Our students will be familiar with the credible resources that already exist and create appropriate partnerships and coalitions. By utilizing students who are familiar with the specific needs of their communities we feel that they will be able to develop programs that serve those needs much more efficiently. The Four Rivers Institute will remain a Resource center for both our alumni and the communities that they serve. 

We will also assist both our graduates and their communities in promoting the development of for profit adventure businesses. We believe there is ample opportunity for business creation in this rapidly growing industry and these communities would be well served to have a resource in both their own community members and the Four Rivers Institute.
