The Four Rivers Institute will seek to prepare its students for a productive, meaningful career path after graduation. The program by its very nature will instill in its students the planning and organizational skills that are necessary to succeed.   Whether they choose to pursue a four-year degree, or a career in the outdoor adventure field, or elsewhere the skills that they will have learned will be immediately applicable. Having held positions of responsibility in the program will prepare them to be leaders. Due to the unique way in which they will interact with and ultimately be responsible for their budget during their time as Guide School Students, they will be better prepared to handle the financial decisions that they will have to make upon graduation. Some people have very specific educational goals, while others do not plan to pursue a degree beyond high school. Others are destined to be non-traditional students but, regardless of these personal decisions the Four Rivers Institute will prepare them for a successful life.
